Home.

Surround yourself with what you love.

I've been fortunate to live in so many wonderful places.  My design philosophy in those early stages was "Less is best." and "Function over form.”  But I've learned through interior design courses along with feng shui that one can have both form and function to create any space…whether residential, business, or commercial work for my clients. When it comes to interior design, these are the simple guidelines: declutter, organize, and surround yourself with what you love.

Here are some of my favorite home design resources…

Inspiration and personal style…

You can find yours by pinning your favorite images online or tearing pictures from magazines.

What is your style?

Bohemian, Contemporary, Industrial, Mid-Century Modern, Minimalist, Modern Glam, Rustic, Scandinavian, Seventies, Totally Eighties, Traditional, or Zen.

Questions to ask yourself after figuring out your style:

How do you want your space to feel?  When and where were you the happiest?

How to plan your space:

The layout of your home is integral to how it functions and how it feels, both in terms of the configuration of the rooms, windows, and doors, and in terms of how the furniture is arranged within each space.

I like to reuse furniture and items that clients already have when styling a space.  If I do need to purchase something, I would gravitate to second hand before making new purchases.

Making sense of Feng Shui

(pronounced "fung shway")

Wind Water (the literal meaning of feng shui) is a constant in our lives. These are the forces that tease, influence, nourish, and change all they touch. The mindset to recognize and guide placement of items within our surroundings can greatly aid in the comfort and utilization within spaces that we create and will continually encounter to best facilitate the intent of our time spent in these zones of our daily life.

The "feel" of balance within our existence in places, regardless of time, is created and controlled through being one with the involved elements of water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. The understanding of an environment and its intended use, allows us to adjust flow and forces within a space to best accommodate desired outcomes:

Improve focus

Reduce distractions

Intended zones of relaxation

Enjoying healthier relationships

Appreciation of beauty in your surroundings
