Food. A necessity of life.

When it comes to food, I used to think, "So much food, so little time!"  But as I've gotten older, I choose quality ingredients and nutrient rich foods.  My parents have always said, "Learn to cook your favorite dishes because you don't know what and where the ingredients are from when you go out to eat.” Gatherings are a constant in our family, with great dishes shared by many talented home chefs.

Many realize that Michelin has a star rating for high-end dining.

Mimicking the Murray's Handbooks and Baedeker Guides of the late 1890s and into the 1900s, the Michelin Guide was also a travelers assistant. Fine Dining Ratings evolved and currently Michelin has a list of affordable recommended dining locations under "Bib Gourmand" for "exceptionally good food at moderate prices".  They offer menu items priced below a maximum determined by local economic standards.  Bib (Bibendum) is the company's nickname for the Michelin Man, its corporate logo.
